FAQs
1. What are your weekend services like?
Each weekend at Crosspointe you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music. We provide a printed outline for notes and a large-screen media presentation to help you make the most of the practical and relevant message. Children are well cared for in our quality and loving environments; Kidpointe Mini (nursery), Kidpointe Jr. (3, 4, & 5 years old), and Kidpointe (K-5th grade). Click for service times and directions.
2. What will happen when I visit for the first time?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not make you feel uncomfortable or embarrass you. We know that many people want to check out a church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you. All we ask of you is that you fill out a connection card, so we can get a record of your visit. (We promise not to harass you or sell your info to telemarketers!)
3. What do I wear to attend your services?
You’ll find everything from casual clothes to suits at our weekend services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because Crosspointe is not about what you look like or what you wear.
4. Where are you located?
We are located at the corner of the North Bypass and Underwood Street in Dalton, GA. Click on the Service Times/Directions page for more information.
5. Do you have a midweek service?
Currently we offer midweek discipleship classes on Wednesday
nights called LifeSkills. Our
LifeSkills classes rotate on a two-month schedule, but feel free to jump in at
anytime. These classes include
everything from marriage and parenting classes to Bible studies.
6. What about my children?
At Crosspointe your children are a top priority. Our Kidpointe Mini nurseries are clean, safe, and staffed with loving volunteers. Our Kidpointe Jr. (3, 4, & 5 years old) and Kidpointe (k-5th grade) ministries are dynamic age appropriate children's ministries that teach your children Biblical principles in an interactive and fun environment. The Crosspointe youth ministry is an engaging and life-changing ministry to students in junior high and high school.
7. How can I meet others and get connected?
There are many ways to get involved. You can begin by attending our Connection Point class, which is a four week introduction to Crosspointe and everything it has to offer. You can be involved in a LifeSkills class or a Community LifeGroup, as these are great ways to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith.
8. How can I be discipled and grow?
Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. Our Connection Point class offers the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. From the initial decision to accept Jesus as your Lord to your involvement in life-changing ministry, we will lead you step-by-step from healing to growth and into leadership. Begin the process at our next Crosspointe 101 class.
9. Why do you have Community LifeGroups?
LifeGroups are an important part of Crosspointe. We believe that in small groups is where discipleship occurs, servant leaders are developed, and where authentic ministry takes place. Small Groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. As Crosspointe grows, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected. Groups are available for all ages and we encourage you to find a place to get plugged in.
10. How can I get involved in a small group?
One of the easiest things to do at Crosspointe is to
participate in a small group. Groups meet throughout the Dalton area and
provide a place for Bible study, fellowship, and support.
