Compelled By Love

At Crosspointe we want to be a church that is known by two things.  One is loving God and the second is loving people.  We are striving to become a church family that truly mirrors the heart of God by expressing love to everyone we come in contact with.  We believe that showing love to others should not be a program of the church but it should be the character of who we are; people who love God and love others.

Sometimes the best way to show love is through a tangible act of kindness, and maybe that's why you are on this website.  Maybe someone anonymously paid for your lunch, bought you a cup of coffee, or cut your grass and then left you a card that looks something this.

If that was the case, we just want to let you know that we love you and appreciate you.  You may be thinking to yourself, "that's crazy, you don't even know me."  We might not know you, but that doesn't stop us from loving you.

As Christians we feel we are called to love others.  In the Bible in the book of Matthew chapter 22 verses 37-39 Jesus said, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself."  We want to love our neighbors as ourselves, so allow us to do something for you as a gift of love.

Why "Compelled By Love" because we believe that we have been called to do so.  In the Bible, 1 John chapter 4 verses 19-21 says, "We love because he first loved us.  If anyone says, 'I love God,' yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.  And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother."  So that's why we are Compelled By Love, because Christ loved us first, all of us, including you, and He has shown us so much love, that we want to show it to others.
